As if there weren't enough reasons pointing toward a divorce between QB Donovan McNabb and the Washington Redskins, a new one may have surfaced Thursday.
According to 106.7 FM's The Sports Junkies, Redskins coach Mike Shanahan asked McNabb to wear a wristband with the plays listed on it -- a cheat sheet many signal callers have -- but McNabb refused because he thought it made him look stupid.
CSN Washington countered that story Thursday night by citing team sources who said McNabb never balked at such a request because the team never asked him to wear such a wristband.
Shanahan yanked McNabb in a midseason loss at Detroit, saying the veteran wasn't up to speed running the team's two-minute offense. He later deactivated the 12-year veteran for the team's final three games, a strong signal that McNabb likely won't be back in D.C. in 2011.
